Veras Vamos arrived in Geartown by sheer accident. Her mother was a Mercenary who was on the run from the law and who's only escape seemed to be stowing away on a transporter to Geartown. During the chase she was shot four times and with the safe haven of Geartown within a minute's reach, she held on to the transport and made it to the docking ring within an inch of her life.

She was rushed to the hospital where she gave birth to a bouncing baby girl and quietly passed away from her injuries. Before she died, she made the doctor promise on his life (and at gunpoint), the girl would come to possess the bullets that killed her mother. The baby received the Gear brand and was made an inhabitant of the city.

Twenty years later saw the rise of the new Veras. Having been taken in by an old gunsmith named Oliviander Coldt and having relinquished her body of flesh and blood, save for her face and neck, she has been taking mercenary orders from the Gearbot establishment. Things have been going well. Were it not that she thinks Oliviander is her Father.
