Walter was born human from a German family that moved to Gear Town in the mid 1880s. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Erfinderisch. At the age of 8, he started playing around with gears and pipes and gadgets by taking them apart and putting them back together again. At the 25, he graduated at the University of Gear Town as engineer and inventor. Throughout his lifetime, he helped the city with all sorts of revolutionary inventions like the automatic vaccuum cleaner, the motor bicycle (as well as the motor tricycle for the kids), the weather control system, and so forth. Just when things were going so well, he then discovered at the age of 39 that he had cancer and only had 2 years to live, according to his doctor.

In order to keep making inventions, he spent the remaining 2 years of his life working on what would be his greatest invention yet: A robotic suit entirely run by a human mind and soul. He finished the suit on 1926, just before his final days of living was closing in on him. The purpose of this project was to transfer both a person's mind and soul from his dying body into an artificial body made to function like a human. He finally tested it out on himself at full blast which caused his machines in his laboratory to go out of control and destroyed his house. But other than that, the project was a succeed.

Decades has passed since the project that saved his life. Now as a functional robot with a light bulb for a head, he recently runs a shop selling gears and parts to the citizens of Gear Town, as well as continuing creating his inventions for the town he was born and raised in.

Notes:
- His robotic body went through a series of changes throughout the years. He started from a blocky mass of steampunk-esque machine parts up to a slim, lightweight body using spare parts
- He has to change his "light bulb" every 3-4 years
- Since he was raised by Germans, he speaks in a German accent
- He normally wears clothes like he did when he was human (i.e. 1920s fashion)
